In the opening bout of the first ever Loco Wrestling Jersey show, a Jersey favorite Steve the Teacher came out and challenged the biggest and baddest. Out comes King Bash Manta to answer the challenge. And answer it he did. After a few minutes it was clear he was just too much for Steve. Winner King Bash Manta. The next match saw two youngsters going at it. Joey Ego vs. Corey Havok. The crowd was into this match right from the start and seemed to be having fun letting Corey know what they thought of him. Joey impressed the crowd but in the end Corey Havok got the pin.
Next up, the first title match of the night. AWFR brought their tag team champions, X'ed Warlock and Dark Slayer to face the DWF tag team champions The Lost Boys. It wasn't supposed to be a title match but Yar grabbed the mic at ringside and challenged them to put up the titles. The match was hard fought but there was a mutual respect between the two teams that you couldn't help but notice. Towards the end of the match the entire Latin Connection surrounded the ring. One of them grabbed a member of X'ed legs which allowed for a pin to take place. So it seemed that The Lost Boys won the AWFR tag team championship. Out came DC Lurie to tell Nick Suave that he is his boss in Loco Wrestling and that this match did not take place. The Lost Boys handed the belts back to X'ed and said "another time."
The next match was a grudge match between The Southern Enforcer and Corky. It wasn't really a match, just a brawl. To be honest I think its going to have to be a brawl to settle this feud. The ref threw this one out when neither of them would get back in the ring. They seemed to be having more fun brawling thru the crowd.
Talk about a grudge match. Damian Pain vs Matt Wylde. Their grudge is centered around Cj the Dark Angel. This match had much more at stake though then settling their grudge. It was an "I quit" match with no holds barred for the Loco Hardcore title. They battled each other tooth and nail for quite awhile, using many submission holds trying to get each other to quit. Matt was busted open at one point and lost a lot of blood. In the end Damain had Matt in a triangle choke, Noone ever said I quit but the ref called the match when Matt passed out. I believe this feud is FAR from over.
After a brief intermission...The next match is for the Loco Cruiserweight title. Alberto Libre Jr. vs The Cosmic Critter. Alberto is a favorite in Pennsauken. The crowd there really loves his energy. This is only the second time they've seen the Critter. But they seem to have taken to him too. This was a fast match that had everyone on their feet. In the end Alberto Libre Jr. got the pin and became the Cruiserweight champion.
The next match was a threeway dance between Jason Gotti with the Pool Shark, Arrogance with Wayne Walker and Victor Cohanas. Jason and Arrogance are much bigger than Victor and they double teamed him for awhile. After a little bit of that they started on each other with Victor battling a bit as well. In the end with Gotti outside, Arrogance rolled up Victor for the pin.
Next up was a match for the Loco Tag team championship. The Latin Connection, D'crazed and Monstro vs. The Hollywood Sensations The entire Latin Connection headed up by Nick Suave, Bronx Bruiser and Victor Cahonas came to the ring with Monstro and D'crazed. It was a typical Latin Connection tag match with lots of distractions and double teams. The crowd loved it. In the end The Latin Connection walked away with the Loco Tag titles.
The next match was for the DWF Heavyweight title. Amadeus with Outlaw Frankie G. got a shot against The Rockin' Rebel. Amadeus was the ultimate snob as usual. Rebel was... well Rebel. The two of them had an exceptional match, that had the crowd both on their feet and of course Rebel had them laughing at times. Rebel retained his belt in the end.
The main event for the evening was for Loco Wrestling's heavyweight title. This match was Downtown Raphael vs Big Nasty. For this match the entire Latin Connection was out and ringside. It was a brutal contest that was falls count anywhere, anything goes, there must be a winner. Downtown Raphael stopped at nothing to win this match. Chairs were flying as they were all over the arena. In the end Downtown Raphael and the Latin Connection were just too much for Big Nasty. After the match the other two members of X'ed Warlock and Dark Slayer came out for the save.
