Privacy Statement

Last updated: April 1, 2026
This Privacy Statement explains how TVByDemand.com collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the website, create an account, upload content, use community features, or otherwise interact with the service.

1. Scope

This Privacy Statement applies to TVByDemand.com and related site features, including user accounts, uploads, videos, photos, comments, replies, reactions, buddies, PMs, PM groups, live chat, notifications, moderation tools, help pages, and related operations. It does not apply to third-party websites or services linked from TVByDemand.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: username, email address, password hash, security level, account status, and account-related settings.
  • Profile information: display name, headline, bio, work history, school history, living history, profile photo, and other information you choose to place on your profile.
  • Content you submit: uploaded videos, thumbnails, posters, photo uploads, photo albums, comments, replies, reactions, live chat messages, PMs, PM-group messages, attachments, reports, metadata, and related text.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, user agent, pages viewed, approximate access times, referrer information, queue and processing logs, and error logs.
  • Authentication and session data: session information, remember-device tokens, login timestamps, and related security data used to keep your account signed in when you choose that option.
  • Moderation and safety data: reports, moderation actions, blocked-user relationships, chat restrictions, deletion records, and enforcement notes.

3. How We Use Information

We use information we collect to operate, provide, secure, moderate, and improve TVByDemand. This includes using information to:

  • Create and manage user accounts and profiles.
  • Host, process, transcode, resize, cache, and display videos, photos, and other content.
  • Power comments, replies, PMs, PM groups, photo albums, live chat, reactions, buddy features, notifications, and other social tools.
  • Authenticate users, maintain sessions, and support “keep me logged in on this device” functionality.
  • Detect abuse, enforce rules, investigate reports, prevent fraud, and protect users and the service.
  • Maintain backups, logs, system health, encoding pipelines, remote processing, and service recovery workflows.
  • Respond to support requests, legal requests, copyright complaints, and safety concerns.

4. Public, Limited-Audience, and Private Areas

Some information is public or semi-public by design. Public profile details, uploaded videos, public photos, comments, replies, reactions, and live chat may be visible to other users or visitors depending on your settings and the feature involved.

PMs and PM groups are intended for limited audiences, not for public display. However, administrators and service personnel may access private-area content, metadata, or attachments when reasonably necessary to operate the service, investigate abuse, enforce site rules, respond to reports, comply with law, or protect users and the platform.

5. Cookies, Session Tools, and Similar Technologies

TVByDemand uses essential cookies and similar browser mechanisms to keep you signed in, maintain security, preserve sessions, and support optional persistent login on trusted devices. For example, if you choose “Keep me logged in on this device,” the site uses a persistent remember-device token to help restore your session later.

We may also use server logs, browser caching, local storage, or similar technical tools necessary to run the site and keep features working.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no universally accepted standard for how to respond to those signals, TVByDemand does not currently respond differently when a Do Not Track signal is received.

7. How We Share Information

We may share information in the following ways:

  • Publicly or with intended audiences: when you post content in public or limited-audience features.
  • With service providers or infrastructure providers: when reasonably necessary to host, store, process, secure, or maintain the service.
  • With administrators and moderators: when needed for moderation, safety review, abuse investigation, system administration, or enforcement.
  • For legal and safety reasons: when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate violations, or prevent harm.
  • In business or operational transitions: if the service, its assets, or operations are reorganized, sold, or transferred, subject to applicable law.

8. Content Processing, Storage, and Backups

Content you upload may be stored in originals, derivatives, thumbnails, display-sized versions, transcodes, temporary work folders, logs, and backups. Even if content is hidden from public view or removed from a specific feature, internal copies may remain in backups, audit records, moderation records, or technical recovery systems for a period of time.

9. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain records, enforce our rules, resolve disputes, support account restoration, process backups, and comply with legal obligations. Retention may vary by feature and by the type of information involved.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and operational measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Choices and Rights

You may be able to update or remove certain information through your account, profile, albums, uploads, or related management screens. Depending on where you live and what law applies, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain personal information.

To make a privacy request, contact us at Mitch@tvbydemand.com or through the Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and some requests may be limited by legal, security, operational, or recordkeeping requirements.

12. Children’s Privacy

TVByDemand is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

13. Third-Party Links and Embedded Destinations

The service may include outbound links, social-share links, or preview links to third-party services. Once you leave TVByDemand or interact with a third-party service, that third party’s own terms and privacy practices apply.

14. Changes to This Privacy Statement

We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the service after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.

15. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Statement, or want to make a privacy-related request, contact us at Mitch@tvbydemand.com or through the Contact page.

This Privacy Statement is designed to match the site as it currently operates, including community features, media uploads, and moderation tools. For formal legal advice about jurisdiction-specific obligations, a licensed attorney should review it.
