Where notifications appear

Watch the Alerts badge in the top menu for unread notifications.
Open the Alerts page to see the full list.
Use Open, Mark Read, or Mark All Read to clear items as you handle them.

What can trigger an alert

Replies to your comments.
Buddy requests, accepts, or removals.
PM activity and PM group activity.
Moderation actions that affect your content or access.
